| The Parkers Prairie High School panther, a gift from my aunt's graduating class. |
During our visit, my aunt mentioned that her graduating class had purchased the mascot sculpture that sits outside the Parkers Prairie High School. Naturally, I had to go see this piece of family and local history for myself. The powerful panther sculpture was created by Ken Nyberg, a well-known artist from the nearby town of Vining. It's a wonderful thing when a community comes together to create a lasting landmark, and even more special when your own family had a hand in it.
Wherever your journey takes you, may you appreciate the landmarks left by those who came before.
