Boy Scout Day

On National Boy Scout Day, I would like to offer insite into the impact of a Scout Leader on a small unscientific group of young men. I saw my father make an impact on the lives of the young men that joined Troop 599 in the early to mid 1970's. The members of this Troop (still active in West Kendall) are currently Police Leutenants, Active Military leaders, and overall leaders in the South Florida community. More importantly, they have gone on to travel the world, as my three brothers have, making an impact not only in their respective communities, but worldwide. As a family, we support the mission of the Boy Scouts of America, most importantly in these trying economic times when keeping young men actively engaged, with positive leadership guidance is so critical.
We ask that on this one day of the year that is devoted to the phlosophy of developing the leadership skills of the young men of the future, you consider a small donation to the Boy Scouts of America; a local troop in your own area, or consider a small contribution to the Denis Bergquist Leadership Challenge, Troop 599 in Miami Fl. Help build the future.

Thanks, Mary!

I couldn't have said it better myself... Except, maybe, by including a link to this fine organization:

Have a great day!

Don

Okay, a clarification - I assume that it was Mary who posted the Anonymous comment.

It could be some other person whose father founded troop 599, who has three brothers, and who knows about this fine and worthwile fund!

I'm just saying...
