After an unexpected night in a Frankfurt hotel, I am back at the airport before dawn, ready for attempt number... well, I've lost count.

| Back at Frankfurt airport before dawn, hoping today's travel plans will actually stick. |
The good news is, I have a confirmed ticket, I am in the departures lounge, and there is a plane on the tarmac. The bad news is the routing is completely absurd.
To get from Frankfurt to Bucharest, I first have to fly northwest to London on a British Airways commuter flight, only to then fly southeast all the way back to Romania. This means that about halfway through my second flight, I will pass directly over the airport I am currently sitting in.

| The new, final, hopefully successful route. You really can't make this stuff up. |
It's a frustrating, roundabout way to travel, but I have to put it in perspective. After checking in with my team, I learned that some of them didn't even make it out of the United States yesterday. So, as illogical as this path is, at least it's a path forward.
Wherever you are today, I hope your path is a direct one, but if not, I hope you eventually get where you're going.
