There's a unique feeling at the end of a great trip—a mix of satisfaction from the memories made and a quiet readiness to be home. After a wonderful visit to Florida to celebrate a whole host of family birthdays, that's exactly where Tim and I found ourselves.
It was an amazing trip, full of family, fun, and celebration for my brother, sister, sister-in-law, and niece. But all good things must come to an end, and this early morning at the Fort Lauderdale airport was ours. We were tired, happy, and looking forward to the flight back to Denver. The journey home is the final chapter of any adventure, and we were ready to write it.
