Some of the best moments of any trip are the quiet ones you don't plan for. On this morning in Fort Lauderdale, I was up before the sun and was greeted by a brilliant half-moon hanging in the perfectly dark sky.

Over the next hour, I watched the world change. The sky slowly turned from black to a deep blue, the sun's first light began to catch the clouds, and the palm trees transformed from silhouettes into vibrant green. The best part was seeing that same moon, no longer a beacon in the dark, but a pale ghost still lingering in the bright blue of the new day. It was a peaceful, beautiful start to what would be a very busy day of exploring.

Wherever you are today, I hope you find a moment to simply look up.
