After a day of travel, a day of recovery is always a good idea. Most of the day was spent simply relaxing by the pool, enjoying the lush patio and the vibrant tropical flowers that make South Florida so beautiful.

But, you can't keep a photographer completely idle, so we took a short drive out to see the historic Hillsborough Inlet Lighthouse. Of course, it was at the exact moment I was setting up to take a picture that I made the classic discovery: a completely dead camera battery. Luckily, we live in an age of incredible backup plans. I have to say, the camera on my phone is really quite adequate, and it did a wonderful job of capturing the view. It was the perfect, low-key outing for a relaxing day.
