Not every day on a trip needs to be a whirlwind of sightseeing. Sometimes, the best moments are found by simply staying put. We took this morning to have a quiet pool day at our hotel in Fort Lauderdale, but for me, "relaxing" usually involves having a camera in hand.
 |
| The morning started with the moon still visible in the humid sky. |
Instead of chasing grand landscapes, I took the opportunity to explore the small, curated world of the hotel's garden. It was a lush, tropical space, full of vibrant flowers, interesting plants, and quirky statuary tucked into shady corners. It’s a different kind of photography—slowing down to appreciate the details right in front of you, and finding a whole world of beauty in a few square feet.

| The pineapple, a classic symbol of hospitality, greeting visitors. |

Even the foliage is colorful, like this Aglaonema 'Siam Aurora' with its striking red edges. |

Wherever you are today, I hope that you have a moment to slow down and look at the sights along the road.
