For me, the holiday season in Denver officially begins when the lights on the City and County Building are switched on. It's an annual tradition to go see the grand old building dressed in its festive best.

This year, I took in the spectacle from two classic vantage points: the elevated, grand overview from the steps of the State Capitol, and then up close from the bustling Christkindl Market in Civic Center Park. The light show is always a delight, painting the building's stately architecture in a constantly shifting palette of brilliant holiday colors. It's a wonderful, joyful display that never fails to get you in the holiday spirit.

Wherever you are today, I hope your holidays are merry and bright.
