The morning of Christmas Eve is often a flurry of last-minute errands and preparations. I was in the midst of just such a rush when I was stopped in my tracks. Driving over the hill above our house, I was treated to this spectacular sunrise, and everything else simply had to wait.
I pulled over, grabbed my camera, and just soaked in the incredible colors painting the sky through the winter trees. It was a beautiful, quiet moment of peace—a perfect gift from nature to start the holiday.
