Sometimes getting the perfect shot means doing a little homework. The official lighting of the Denver City and County Building is a huge event, and I wanted to be prepared. So, the night before, I went downtown to scout out the best vantage points for the main event.
It was a beautiful, quiet evening—the calm before the festive storm. While the main building was still dark, the holiday tree was lit, offering a stunning preview against the deep blue of the twilight sky and the silhouette of the mountains. It was the perfect teaser for the spectacle to come.

Wherever you are today, I hope you have something wonderful to look forward to.
