From Dust Storms to a Calm Sunset

After the intense drive through the Kansas dust storm, the weather finally broke, and the sun reappeared, which was a welcome relief. The clear skies guided us through the last part of Kansas and across the border into Missouri.

After the dust storm, the sun reappeared. A welcome sight.

Crossing into Missouri. Getting close now.

Made it to Nixa. A calm end to a very long day of driving.

From there, it was down US 65 to our stop for the night: my brother Denis's home in Nixa. We pulled in just in time to catch a beautiful, peaceful sunset—the perfect, calm ending to a marathon first day on the road that started long before dawn in Colorado.

Wherever you are today, I hope you have a peaceful place to land at the end of your journey.
