Crossing the Great Plains

The long drive back from Arkansas continues.

After our pre-dawn departure, the trip through the rest of Arkansas and Missouri was smooth and uneventful, with the sun rising just after we turned west. Now we're deep into the second half of the journey, crossing the vast, open spaces of the Great Plains. The scenery out here has a quiet beauty, and the landscape is now dotted with the giant, graceful windmills of central Kansas.

Wherever you are today, I hope your road is smooth and the sky is clear.
