| Our three-day itinerary for chasing Colorado's fall colors. |
It's that time of year again—the start of our annual multi-day drive through Colorado in search of autumn's finest colors. The car is packed, the route is planned, and the open road is calling. The first day of our three-day loop is about covering ground, heading south from the Front Range into the wide-open spaces that lead to the mountains. The journey took us past high desert landscapes and iconic landmarks, with the massive Sangre de Cristo range growing ever larger in the windshield. We ended the day in Alamosa, treated to a dramatic sunset over the San Juans, ready for the adventures tomorrow will bring.
