The Scenic Route to Ruskin

 

The conditions must have been perfect along the bay.
This kiteboarder was getting some serious air.

The Florida trip continued as I left St. Petersburg and started making my way to the next stop in Ruskin. I had a choice of routes and decided to take the long way around the bay, hoping for some better scenery. The decision paid off handsomely.

The backdrop for all the action was the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Along the causeway for the magnificent Sunshine Skyway Bridge, the water was alive with kiteboarders making the most of a beautiful, windy day. It was an unexpected and thrilling spectacle—a perfect reminder that sometimes the less direct path is the most rewarding one.

It was a beautiful day for it.
The whole area was dotted with the bright colors of their kites against the blue sky.

Wherever you are today, I hope you take the scenic route once in a while.
