This was the reason for the trip to Memphis: to gather with friends and family to honor the life of Helen Coop, a dear friend and a formidable mentor.

When someone has a profound impact on your life, they never truly leave you. To this day, I still find myself remembering and living by the lessons she taught me about work and about life. In moments of uncertainty, I occasionally ask myself, "How would Helen navigate this?" Her wisdom remains a guiding compass.
It was a somber occasion, but seeing old friends from my days of living and working in Memphis was a powerful reminder of the community Helen built around her. We were all there because she had touched our lives, and in coming together to share our stories, we kept her spirit alive.
