January White Out

There's a certain kind of quiet that only comes with a heavy snowfall. This January morning, we woke up to just that, but with an added bit of drama. It wasn't a gentle dusting, but a blast of cold air and blowing snow that reduced the entire neighborhood to a series of soft, blurry shapes.

The view out the window was a constantly shifting curtain of white, obscuring the familiar sights of the backyard. It's the kind of day that makes you grateful for a warm house and a hot cup of coffee.

A cold January morning,
with the snow blowing off the neighbor's roof.

Looking through the trees into the blur.
Visibility: not much.

Wherever you are today, I hope you are warm, safe, and enjoying the view.
