A Celestial Bookend to the Day

Some days are framed by celestial events. Today was one of them. I caught the last glimpse of the full moon as it set this morning, a pale, detailed orb against the early darkness.

The Wolf Moon setting just after 6 AM,
seen from our home in Lakewood.

Twelve hours later, I watched the very same moon rise over our home, this time warmer and glowing with the promise of the night ahead. It's a simple, profound thing to witness the same celestial body bookend your day—a quiet reminder of the cycles and rhythms happening all around us, even from our own backyard.

Twelve hours later, the very same moon
rises to begin its journey across the night sky.

Wherever you are today, may you find a moment to look up and appreciate the rhythm of the world.
