Columbines and Granite Views

After the previous day's preparations, we hit the road.

Our destination, standing tall against the summer sky.

The drive up Squaw Pass Road is a journey in itself, offering sweeping views that make you pull over just to take it all in. We arrived at our campsite at the base of the Mt. Evans road, surrounded by the scent of pine and the quiet of the high country. Getting the camper set up was the first order of business, and once settled, we could finally appreciate the smaller details of our new neighborhood: the ancient granite underfoot and the delicate Colorado Blue Columbines growing nearby.

he ancient, weathered granite of the Rocky Mountains.

Home is where you park it, especially in the woods.

The breathtaking, expansive views along Squaw Pass Road.

A perfect specimen of Colorado's beautiful state flower.

Finding these delicate blooms right near our campsite.

Wherever you are today, may you find beauty in the small details right outside your door.
