According to the weather casts we have a bunch of weather coming our way. The front that stated spitting rain at us last night is supposed to be dropping snow on us today. The weather forecast calls for a high of forty degrees (Fahrenheit) some time around lunchtime. The weathercaster also contains references to thunderstorms, rain, sleet, and cloud cover all day long.
If only all this moisture could help break the drought we are in!
But I guess I have no space to complain, I see on the morning news that London is getting pounded by snow. It is a shame that London does not get enough snow to actually know what to do when it snows. I remember last year when I was there and we got an inch of snow in February, the tubes and trains stopped running. A brilliant spokesperson for London Transit (in a quote that will probably haunt the rest of his career) gave a quote to the papers that the reason the transit system came to a halt was that the snow was the "wrong kind of snow" for the trains to be able to deal with…
A friend of mine back in London emailed me this morning (or rather, some time last night) saying that when he looked out at his back garden, there was nothing to see but a lumpy white mass… Everything is blanketed in snow. It must be lovely!
Wherever you are today, I hope that you're having a lovely morning!
