The journey is officially complete, and the transition from the humidity of Florida to the familiar air of Colorado is finally settled. The flight and the drive home were singularly uneventful. Which is always a good thing!
There is a specific kind of domestic chaos that follows a trip—suitcases splayed open and the inevitable mountain of laundry—but it’s a small price to pay for the comfort of being back in our own space.
The best part of the return was, of course, the reunion with the dogs. They made it very clear that while our travels were exciting, our presence at home is much preferred. The rest of the day is dedicated to some much-needed downtime and mental preparation. With the alarm set for 6:30 tomorrow morning to dive back into the automation and workflow world, I intend to make the most of these final quiet hours.
Wherever you are today, may your return be warm and your laundry piles be manageable.
