Springtime Snow Showers

March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb... to quote Gene Wilder (playing Willie Wonka in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: "Strike that! Reverse it."

Travelogue Toronto – Day 4: Home Again

We did not leave until nearly eight! We started boarding about 19:30 and the process went smoothly enough, but that did not assure a good departure. There were more people on the plane than there should have been.

Happy birthday to my friend Linda

Travelogue Toronto – Day 3.5: Getting Home

What a mess!

Travelogue Toronto – Day 3: Snow Day

It is inevitable; the warmer it is at your destination, the colder it will be at your origination! The nicer the weather is where you're headed the worse it is where you are. If it is sunny and warm, say, at home. There is a blizzard and freezing rain on the road.

Travelogue Toronto – Day 2: Rain

I guess I have been here when the weather was worse! All I can really say about the weather here this trip is that it has been cold and gloomy. Of course, I have seen it really cold here!

Travelogue Toronto: Day 1: Arrival

Of all the places I have traveled outside the country, the only border I have EVER been turned back at was the Canadian Border. I cannot help but think of that every time I cross a border, specifically, whenever I cross the Canadian border.

Travelogue Toronto – Day 0.5: Getting There (Part II)

Whew! What a trip. The plane is TINY! Sixty-six seats; seating room for fifty. Have I mentioned that the excitement of travel has long since worn off?

Travelogue Toronto – Day 0: Getting There

The seasoned traveler learns one thing, if he learns nothing else: patience. Travel is a long, slow, tedious business that is to be endured. The excitement of going to the airport, getting on a plane, and flying somewhere may be all well and good when you're six, but the luster soon wears off that particular thrill leaving one with the reality of travel; there are delays, overbooking, and misdirected luggage. Sometimes all three on the same flight!

More Than Just The Time Changes

It is a sunny and clear morning in Denver, Colorado. The sun broke over the horizon this morning just after six, I was treated to a spectacular view of the dawn as I drove east to the airport. Dawn was practically all I could see, in fact, it was so clear, and bright. It was already fifty-five degrees under cloudless skies as I made my way to the airport.
